Point Blank
The rain had only subsided when I caught a sight of this strangely exquisite view which took me off guard into blankly thinking that "a part of me wanted to invest myself in this place and help it grow in all ways. Then there was another part whispering myself to pack my rucksack with minimum necessities and travel the whole world starting off with booking a ticket to an exotic destination that comes to my mind first."I can't explain what I felt but it was one of those very rare experience I've had bundled up in a short moment.
"Globalisation" has apparently acquired the most fancy usage in the colloquial parlance. We get to read and hear it everywhere.Youngsters of semi urban regions like mine grow up to take roles of successful professionals aspiring to create best life they have imagined for themselves. However we have always found ourselves to be lost in this queer dilemma between waking up to the chirping of the birds sorrounded by the aroma of Tibetan agarbattis at our hometown or standing on the 15th floor of a skycraper, the balcony of where from the glittery citylights would've managed to amaze us every night.
We browse Netflix or Amazon with the much despised bufferings that you got to get rid of while you were away, fancying those characters leading a lifestyle only possible if we move/locomote out.
Words like Liberty and Leisure seem attainable only when kept distance from the gawking eyes of the "chimekis".Your high waisted skinny jeans suddenly feels too tight around that hip area or the top of your regular fit magically feels a size smaller as soon as you return home from the closest city you finished your higher studies.
With all the knowledge and skills you have acquired that can give you the best version of life you have imagine with sufficient material bliss you find yourself in a moral predicament whether to work to fill in the pot holes of the underfinished roads that you need not run over the highways and fancy flyovers.Whether to feed the malnourished place that once fed you but now has been drained of all the human capital that gets frantically chanellised to these obesed land of citylights?
I don't mean to imply that this happens to each and every kid who are in a position to take the cord of their life in their own hands, but I hope most of us could relate.I'd like to end it by quoting Monica Geller,"Welcome to the real world . It sucks. You're gonna love it" .
